I recently got a 1993 Bayliner Jazz with the Mecury 90hp sport jet, the guy i got it from switched out the motors for a 1995 90hp because he said the original motor was shot. He gave me the old motor and a box of parts along with a new steering cable and other cables, my problem is I don't know how the cable is to connect to the steering shaft at the base of the console. I am currently sanding the boat down to have a fresh new gelcoat applied and had to remove the cotter key and nut on the bottom of the steering shaft just to remove the console due to the woodruff key was not coming out of the steering wheel. I have looked for shematics, drawings or something to help figure this out but haven't come up with anything yet, any help or a point in the right directions would be great!
