1993 carb 4.3 Mercruiser ?

Engine idles fine , But about half throttle it starts to bog down ? The crazy thing is when I use the up or down trim switch ,The engine stops bogging and smooths out ,as soon as I release trim switch it's back to bogging down . What does the trim switch have to do with it ? I'm baffled ,Anyone HELP .

start by cleaning your battery connections, then move to the cables at the engine, then migrate your way cleaning every connection all the way to the helm.

I will give this a try , Can you explain how that could make the tilt switch, To smooth out the motor and pick up speed. in up or down position .The second I let off switch, Motors right back to no power and sputtering.

you have bad connections (as in many). adding a load of the trim momentarily creates an arc at a few of the connections.
