1993 chris craft 282 outdrive

hi people!!!

today i was looking on craigslist and found a sweet deal on a 1993 chris craft crowne 282!!

all the guy said was boat is in great shape except the outdrive needs to be replaced, no engine details or nothin'.....

i started to research more about the boat but was just wondering if a guy could spend 2,500 to get it rebuilt and then relax on my new boat???

i know there are probubly a few variations of engine models, and what not, but just thinking about having a nice boat and trying to realize if this is something a painter can afford or not hahaha.

Ayuh,... Unfortunately,... Without atleast a few Hints,... There's No answers...

Make,+ model of the Hull are meaningless...

Either get some details, or run away. You could be looking at an old Florida Hurricane boat and not even know it.
Just someone looking for money.

thanks! i didnt think about that, im going to call him tommorow to get a little more specific, no one answered at his buisness number he left on the posting when i called today.

i just basicly wanted to see if someone said... " oh yeah, no more than 2,500 for a rebuild on that thing...." then i could at least get the boat and then save up for another month and get that done....
