1993 Evinrude 175

I am getting a boat that has a 1993 Evinrude 175HP Spitfire on it. What is the average lifespan of these motors if well maintained? Should I be worried about the age of this motor?

Howdy, PA Boater.<br /><br />Average is around 1500 hours. Some last 3,000-4,000 hours, some last a few hundred.<br /><br />Your engine is relatively new. There are many many in regular use that are a lot older.

Hi paboater<br />Sometimes how the motor was treated by the original owner will determine how long it will last with including how you treat it!
