I’m trying to loosen up the steering on a pair of Johnson 140’s. I’m able to steer the motors from left to right, it feels very stiff.

If any one is familiar with these engines, do these engines have any zerk/grease fittings?
thanks in advance for the help.

Are these motors connected to a helm or are they free and your trying to turn them by hand?

Yes, there should be a grease zerk somewhere where the motor turns. Cant think of what they call that area of the transom clamp. If memory serves the zerk is probable at the top of that pivot on one side or another.
