Hey everyone. The two cylinders which are supposed to kick in at 2200rpm through the durations of wide open throttle are not. However, the problem comes and goes. Some days it acts fine for a while and revs to 5200rpm like it's supposed and then others the two cylinders wont fire and will bog out at 2800rpm. The few guys I've talked to have bet money it's the stator. I just wanted some one elses input who may have gone through this issue. Thanks!

Have you checked for spark? That motor fires all 4 plugs regardless of throttle setting. Have you checked the carb linkages make sure they are in good shape. The carbs on that motor controls the 2+2 function. You can find the diagnostic information about the ignition at www.cdielectronics.com.

I have not done any diagnostics yet as I have been out of town. Thank you for the info! I will check the linkages first as I did not realize that.
