Hello everyone
I've searched and searched but I cant seem to find a solution. Serial number 0D237358
Pretty sure its a 93 Mariner according to the serial.
The power trim motor will pull the engine down but not up. The motor spins but you can hear it struggle when I try to go up.
Thinking it was weak I replaced it. Same thing.
To be clear there isnt an electrical issue.
For some reason it just wont go up. I tore down the manifold assembly and even the piston looking for debris but found nothing.
If I trim up and then remove the drain plug fluid shoots out. If I trim down no such issue removing the drain plug.
Its almost like the fluid cant drain out of the center section of the piston to allow fluid in the bottom to push the piston up.
