1993 merc 275?

We have a 1985 175 Merc Black Max on a 22' Grady White Seafarer.I found a 275 1993 25" XL High performance w low hours for $1500.00 will this motor work on my boat and whats the differance between a reg 200 to 225 hp of the same year.Pros & cons.Seems like a good deal.

1st question is your boat rated for that much HP?

You refer to the new engine as a"275", I take you mean "225 hp"? Difference w/25 hp is not a big deal, the 22' Grady will handle it great. Question I would have about your new motor, has it been raced or how has it been treated/serviced? Makes a big difference.

I didn't buy the motor , But it says 275 Hp I never heard of it so thats why I tossed it out to the forum.
