I had to clean all the gum from all three carbs on my 60hp 1993 OMC which has been running a 50:1 mix after rebuilding and disabling the oil injection. The Engine had not been started for a couple years and the fuel/oil gum was bad. It runs OK, but is often slow accellerate to plane out. What is the proper adjustments on the 3 Carbs after removing the needles to clean those passages.

Not to be rude, but the proper move would be to get your hands on a repair manual before messing with a multi carb motor.
Don'tmix parts between the carbs.
Follow link and sync procedures to the letter.
Did you completely disassemble the carbs and clean them properly? Set float heights?

I was hoping an experienced mechanic could go beyond the manual inadjusting fuel/air mixture.

I complied with the manual with all the settings, but it has been my experience that some engines need a richer mixture on the higher cylinders. Hoping to get some feedback that would help in fine tuning the fuel/air mixture i.e. # of turns above or below best manifold presure for each carb.

Re: 1993 Mod. TE60TLENE Carb. Adjustments?

Good Morning.
The best place to ask this question is in the Johnson/Evinrude Forum, as that is where the experts hang out. And there are some real talented guys over there.

The responses I received to similar question were usually "trial and error", "personal preference or the engine tuner", "every engine is a little different", etc.

But always error on the side of running rich, as running lean will kill you.

From your responses, you seem to have good knowledge on how things work. I hope someone can help you on the specifics you seek.
