Hello, I am contemplating purchasing a 1993 Motorguide 742 45lb thrust bow mount with foot control for my 14ft. aluminuum boat.<br /><br />I'm buying it sight unseen from a friend of a friend in another part of the country, so before I commit I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether it's a good make of electric motor.<br /><br />Also, and maybe more importantly, does anyone know what it looks like? Is it a big old clunker or does it look reasonably sleek and modern?<br /><br />It's only $150 and works great so I think it's probably a good deal... (?)
