1993 WMH 28 carb 135 hp

Can anyone tell me what this part is? Some carbs have them and some not. Do I need them? Cannot find them on Mercury parts site. Thanks

That doesn't look like any of the carbs on a 1993 Merc 135HP.

According to the crowley marine web site, that motor can have WMH 12-16, WMH 21- 28 or WMH 30-34 carbs. That part doesn't see to be in any diaghram, nor are the brass tubes pictured.

Maybe the carbs are from another motor. Some later models had accelerator pumps. Maybe that is one of those? It sorta looks like one...

The carbs are numbered 28-1 top 28-2 center and 28-3 being the bottom carb.

My two 1994 engines have wmh-30 carbs. All six carbs had the black plastic piece so Im wondering what why how kinda thing.

Well, I did not see that piece on the 1994 150HPV6 carb either.
