Friend brought me this boat with a 1993 Yamaha 115 TLRR on it. Had not been run in YEARS. Carbs were completely gunked up with varnish. One looked like coffee grounds in the bowl and the other looked like it had been painted with varnish inside. Thorough cleaning did little to help, would not idle and difficult to keep running. I found a very similar set of carburetors off of a 130 hp motor, cleaned them up and installed them. It ran great for a few minutes then died and would not re-start. Spark plugs had blackish oil though they are like new plugs. After drying off the plugs it wouldn't even try to start until I used some starting fluid..... I have completely cleaned the fuel system, new fuel lines, fuel pump kit, filter and new bulb on fuel line. The factory hoses between fuel pump and carburetors are all I have not replaced tho' they have been cleaned. The only other thing I have not worked on is the oil injection. .... got any ideas or have you run into this before? What did you do to get the problem resolved?
