I have a 1994 115 Johnson that runs perfect. I have five open wires that I can't identify. There are three that come down from the control box to a connector of some sort. All solid (Purple, Grey and Black). The other two come from the engine to the console and are Black with Brown stripe and White with Orange stripe.

Any ideas??

OK, so I figured out that the Purple, Silver and Grey are Tach wires.

Now what obout the Black with Brown and The White with orange?? I am hoping it's for a Tilt/trim gauge.

Who knows the answer?

The black and tan wire and the white and tan wire are for the trim gauge.
