1994 40 hp Mariner oil leaking around prop

I have a 1994 Mariner 40 Hp motor. I noticed that there was a puddle of oil dripping off of the foot. I looked closer and it seams to be leaking right behind the prop. Any ideas on what this could be and what the best way to fix it is?

It could be unburned gas/oil.
You need to check the gear oil and make sure it doesn't have water.
If it's leaking you should have water in the oil.
No water no problems.
If it has water then you need to pressure test the lower to see where it's leaking.J
