1994 50hp evinrude pinion bearing remove and replace

i have to replace my pinion bearing. it looks difficult, i am having a hard time just getting the old one out.Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Need to post how you are removing it.----Is the lock screw out ?-------Pulling it up and out ?

I have tried to push it out thru the bottom. I do not see a lock screw. How would i get to a lock screw?Thanks for your help

Stop what you are doing !----Find the bearing lock screw ( 324852 ) on the side of the case and pull bearing out the top !!----Mistakes can be expensive.---If you are replacing pinion gear you need to shim / position that gear precisely !!!

I cannot find the lock screw, it is not on any of the exploded views crowley or marine parts. should it be located inside close to the bearing ? thanks

It is in plain view on all the parts books !!----324852.----Hurry to a shop and get proper help !----Or come on over with a cold one and I show you.
