Hey Guys-
I'm gonna ask again if any of you can lead me to the hood markings on my 1994 5 hp Mercury. It's currently all black.
Serial #OD 934548. Made in Japan. Single cylinder and noisy as hell!!

I know if this was a Johnnyrude I'd have 10 replys by now. But it ain't.

Thanks

If you go to mercurypartsexpress.com and search by your engines serial number you should be able to find the decals for your motor, and a simple drawing of the engine cowl.

Well, there's no need to be rude!!!

The Merc part number for the decals (I assume that's what you mean by 'hood markings') is 37-15818A94. And you should be able to get them from any Merc dealer or online Merc parts shop.

And just to contrast what you said, I posted a request for the pinion nut torque on a Johnson V4 gearbox and didn't get an answer for 3 weeks.
