I'm a new user. Trying to remove the foot off a 1994, 6 hp, evinrude, model E6RERE . Bolts are out but cannot find how to release the foot from the housing? Thanks in advance.

Three bolts thats all!

Give it a tap with a block of wood.

Water tube should pull out of the waterpump, shift rod from linkages at the top and driveshaft from crankshaft.

if you run in salt water the spiles may be rusted into the crank shaft. i agree block of wood and hammer. i just took one off a 87 25hp, some one had used thread locker on everything. took hammer wedges to get it off.

Ah yes. the traditional Navy response - use a bigger gun, ie hammer. Thanks, from a gravel agitator.
Got to it this PM and it dropped right out. Thanks again.
