I have a 1994Spectrum with a 70hp Force outboard. I am assuming that the Force is a 1994 as well. I am having trouble getting the engine to start. I was running it one day and then stopped and it wouldn't start up again. After getting it home, I checked for spark on all three spark plug wires with a spark plug tester and didn't get spark on any of them. I found a discussion on here about things to check regarding the stator and the rectifier and tried to follow it but my wiring situation is different. Coming from my stator I have a blue, red, 2 yellow and a black wire. I disconnected the two yellow wires to test the rectifier (no spark). From there I am not sure what to check because the other thread mentioned checking the red and red/white wires together and the blue and blue/white wires together. Since I don't have the corresponding red/white or blue/white, how do I complete the stator testing? Also, I read that you can test the stop circuit by disconnecting the black/yellow stop wires. Where are these? I found a black/yellow wire near the stator wires and assumed that was it.

Hello. Welcome to the forum. You have this posted in the Johnson section. You may get better results putting it in the Force section. Good luck.
