Hello all .
I have been struggling with this boat now for some time . I have had belts blow when ny buddies had it last year . This year the head gasket went . I replaced that the other week . I am assuming from when they blew the belt on it . While I did the head gasket I changed all the belts on it as well again and what a struggle to find them . They were squealing like crazy when ever I trimmed or even starting up .

So yesterday I take it to the lake thinking finally I have it all dialed in . I fire it up and right away belts squealing like crazy . I am thinking well i will jusy go out a bit and then check tension on them . I didnt get 300 yards and the squealing stops and thinking great . Throttle up a bit and realize I have no power steering . Shut it down and look and the belt has broken again . So I have a spare in the boat . Pull the front mount and change it . Fire up and still squealing . I start to head back to the launch and realize I am heating up . Open the cover again and everything is turning and the raw water pump lines are hot . I let it cool down . I have no recourse but to run it to get back to shore as no one else is out there . SO I am sure I will have a head gasket again in my future . I have searched everywhere for belt lengths that I can get as no one locally here in BC seems to have belts in stock they send me to napa or lordco we have here . I am starting to wonder now if the previous owner had the belts even running right on things in the first place . I have not been able to find a pic with my setup or a diagram yet on the net . Hopefully some of the more experienced people here can help me .

So trying to figure out routing and proper lengths and widths . My setup has on it , looking at the engine this .. Raw water pump on left side with one small belt to main water pump pulley . Right side has alt on top right also running to water pump pulley . Power steering runs to harm balancer up to water pump pulley nd down to steering . Does this sound like a correct setup ?
When I looked at a BRP parts blow up I found it show small belt for raw water . After that it shows the alt belt looking like it takes in the pulleys , then I have also seen where it shows the power steering pump with a three pulley setup . Is the something I am missing ? I am almost positive , sitting here at work my lower crank pulley has one groove for the belts . I will try and add a pic here tonight but wondering if anyone might be able to provide some in site while I am waiting to get home . I can believe I have not been able to find one pic of this engine with this configuration on it online . Any it is frustrating as heck trying to figure out what I need to be getting for proper belts sizes and such when even the shops look at me like I have three eyes sometimes asking .

Moved you to OMC
Have never seen a belt driven water pump on a 3.0, can you post a pic?

94-96 were the joint venture with Volvo models so it's the same as a Volvo SX of the same year.
