My 1994 Bayliner Capri won't go over 10 mph or 3,000 rpms. It happens sometimes and not others. I was running at 30 mph, slowed for some waves and then when I put the throttle down again, it would not go over 3,000 rpms or 10 mph.

I'm a new boater, so it could be a very simple problem. I trimmed up the engine earlier in the day using the trailer button, but put it back down. I also anchored in a weedy area before this happened. Ideas?

Welcome to iboats!

Weeds fouling the pop would certainly cause the problem you're having.

Weeds can definitley do that. Once you are out of the weedy area, put the boat in reverse and give the throttle a momentary bump. That should clear your prop.
