Well, I guess we all got here one way or another and now we're restoring a boat. So I bought my first boat June 2015. I narrowed it down to a bow rider that I could fit at least 9 people in. That lead me to craigslist and my purchase. 1994 Crown Line 225BR with 454 & Bravo 1. I never owned a boat so I didn't realize, until now, how heavy it was when towing it home. When I inspected the boat, it all seemed solid, ran good, just needed interior work. I got it home and while stepping in, onto the seat box, it felt like it moved. I'm a machinist and engineer and very handy so I figure I'm fixing this before someone gets hurt. I pulled the seat box out and its rotted. I get back on the boat and under the seat box, the floor it soft. And under the floor the stringers are rotted. So I guess you all know where I'm going with this. I'll upload pics after my 3rd post.

There are some other Crownline restorations that are going on or have happened recently, so you should have plenty of information to guide you along the way. Seems like there is lots of wood in those Crownies.

yes, I'm following a couple now. I'd like to blame (praise & thanks!) friscoboater for the incredibly detailed videos. Without them I would have never taken this adventure!

Here's what she looked like when I got her home! I couldn't wait to open up that big block and scream across the bay! Now, a year later, she's in my yard totally gutted. I'll start posting pics as I resize them.

I started this rebuild back in March. My goal was mid July. For anyone thinking of doing these rebuilds, its not so much the time it takes to do the actual work, but your available time. I started taking all the seats and storage boxes out and it goes fast. I think I had the stringers exposed by end of the first weekend. Then my kids had High School baseball, then travel baseball (I coach it), & travel soccer (my wife coaches). March became July and I did very little.

Funny How Life gets in the way of Boat Restorations!!! The best thing to do is make it a habit on those "Life Busy Days", of doing SOMETHING on the boat every day. Even it its' only 10 minutes. You'll be amazed at how fast it will go.
