I have a 94 140hp Evinrude. The engine runs fine at idle, but occasionally the motor will starve for fuel. I have changed the fuel filter and gaskets, as well as the primer bulb. The gas tank vent is clear. After I did this the motor ran fine for a few days and is now back to the same problem.

Over around 2500 RPM the fuel bulb gets flat and cannot be pumped so i feel like the fuel pump itself is still working, its just not getting enough gas through.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

If the primer bulb is sucking flat you are sucking a vacume, plugged vent or hose. Try and use a seperate 6 gallon tank and see if your problem goes away.
