1994 Force 120 hp Shaft length?

Hello, I am trying to determine the shaft length of my 1994 Force 120 hp outboard. I have been trying to remove the lower unit, but it will not budge right now. I watched You Tube videos of lower unit removals and mine is a little different than the ones in the videos. On the videos you remove the fin to find the hidden bolt underneath it. On mine the bolt is just forward of the fin. I took a measurement from where the motor sits on the transom to the bottom of the middle pontoon and it was about 24". I may be looking to repower the the boat, 1994 Suntracker Party Hut 30' and need to know the shaft length. I am looking at a 2001 Mercury 135 hp with a 25" shaft. The Mercury is about one hundred pounds heavier than the Force. Does anyone know the shaft length of my motor or see any reason why I should not pursue getting this Mercury engine?

Measure the height of your transom.-----If it is 20" high then the motor is considered to be a long shaft.----A 25" motor is extra long shaft.

I measured it, the distance is 24" but that is with a spacer on top of the transom. If you take away the 3" spacer it is closer to 20 "

It will take a 25" motor referred to as EXTRA LONGSHAFT on this set-up.

After I take some pics, maybe someone can tell me why I'm having such a hard time getting the lower unit off.

Well the guy sold the motor I was hoping to buy, so shaft length is not as important to me right now. I do need to get the lower unit off, and she does not want to budge. I going to start a new thread to try to get some advise on that. Thanks for the assistance. Griggsmars
