1994 Four Winns 5.0 cobra not starting with key

help please. my son and i were replacing what we were told was the starter solenoid located on the bracket above the starter and in plain sight. (easy swap right?) but... my son thought he could remember where the wires went to specially if he laid them to the side that they came off. well as life would have it, the god of wires came by while we were purchasing a new part and the wires were all together not being able to tell which one went where. and body have any idea? i can send picture of what we have if needed. we have swapped wires from side to side so much i may have to buy another solenoid.

On the new relay, what are the markings on each terminal? If the wires are still close to original color and not too faded can probably figure out what is what. Is the new one an exact replacement, correct unit?

we went to bass pro shop, and they said (here ya go this'll werk)... so probably not, but it ddoes look exactly like the original.

Maclin, thank you, i will get a picture of it tomorrow and post it. to be sure we are on the same page, my son says the wires are still pretty close to oem color
