I just bought this motor and used it a few times. The past 2 times I have taken it out, the warning horn has come on, but only at high speeds. If I keep the RPMs down and the water pressure at or around 30 PSI, the warning horn don't come on. I can ride it like this all day. Once I open it up, the water pressure gage pegs and then a minute or so later, the horn sounds, and slows down to 2500 RPMs,(as it should). I shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes and it starts right up with no horn. I am confused because there is plenty of water coming out the engine, so is it over heating or could there be a sensor that is bad??????

Did you ever own a Hodaka? I would check the pressure relief valves.

Agree with Clanton, if these stick they'll peg your H2O press. guage and will not let water flow through engine correctly. The thermostats can't handle enough H2O flow at high speeds.
