1994 Johnson 40hp vro dies

Engine starts then dies after about ten seconds of running. The fuel bulb is soft but pumping it to try and keep the engine running does not help.<br />The engine will restart then die again and again<br />Any ideas?

Walleyechaser, sounds like the check valve in the squeeze bulb has broken. Attwoods are notorious for is and I have replaced quite a few for customers. Use only genuine OMC {BMC}. Hopefully that will help. nevjb

We replaced the fuel line bulb and everything is fine in motor land Thanks
