My warning horn on my 1994 40hp Johnson comes on and stays on while running and in the auxilary position, even when the motor is not on. Any ideas? I feel that it is not that major because it comes on before the engine even starts.

There are three positions on my ignition. 1-Off, 2-where the chirp usually comes on for a second, 3-the area that starts the motor. Could the sensor be bad?

HI SUTTONC,<br />I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 175HP RUDY A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. HORN WAS GOING OFF AS SOON AS I TURNED THE KEY. FIND THE HORN BUZZER UNDER THE DASH & CLEAN THE STAB ENDS WITH SAND PAPER. PULL YOUR CABLES OFF THE BATTERY, CLEAN & SAND PAPER THE TERMINAL ENDS. RE-INSTALL THE TERMINALS & MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT. YOU ARE HAVING A GROUND PROBLEM, OR YOUR HORN COULD BE BAD. IF THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, REPLACE THE HORN.
