My motor would not shift and I only had reverse. After figuring out that the problem was in the lower end I removed it and found the shift rod loose from the lower end. I screwed it back in all the way but now the linkage will not connect. I noticed that some if the Johnnyrudes have a specific length for the shift rod. I ordered a new manual, though I won't have it for a while. If anyone knows what the specific length for this motor I would appreciate knowing what it is. It's a 60 HP Johnson Tracker with tilt/trim and electric start. Thanks

According to the Seloc manual the distance is measured from the lower unit housing to the center of the hole in the shaft rod.

If you have an extra long shaft you will need to add 5" to these numbers.

Engines Since 1978:
Model 60, 70, 75hp - 21.72" (55.17cm)
Model 85, 90, 100, 110, 115hp - 21.84" (55.48cm)
Model 120, 140, 200, 225hp - 21.94" (55.73cm)
Model 150, 175, 185, 235hp - 22.06" (56.04cm)

They do not list the Tracker separately.
