My motor has progressively gotten worse over the years, started out loading up badly as it would sit and idle, start smoking bad and heavy fumes, could rv it up and clear it out, the it would start again, when I would try and plane off, it would bog down and not get up on plane, then suddenly would surge forward and run like a scalded dog, usually would be fine most of the day or night. Now it loads up all the time, have to try and take off by cutting tight circles until the motor cavitates to get the rpms's up then it will take off or trim up until it cavitates and do the same thing. Once it takes off, it runs great, no problems. I can stop sometimes and then take off again just fine, other times if it sits and idles for any length of time, it will load up and bog on take off unless I cavitate to get the rpm's up. Have changes several lines, keep clean filters on it, fuel system appears to be feeding fine. Mechanic thought it might be in the ECU and would have to replace that to fix it, but just not sure that is it. Any help or suggestions on what to look at or try before going down the ECU road. Thanks!

Try checking your bleed line check valves, they will cause oil and fuel to pool in the bottom of the crank case causing the symptoms you describe. You can also check for leaking injectors by checking the system is holding fuel pressure after the fuel pump has cycled.

OK on the check valve and all vacumn lines as well as the fuel line filter between the pump and VSC, checked all I could without taking the VSC apart. Pumps up and pressurizes fine! Runs fine sitting on the trailer, have not put in water and tested, but cleaned out and checked all I could. Have not gotten into the injectors. Any other ideas?

I am leaning toward dirty injectors. Send them to Tony @ www.brucatosvs.com and have them cleaned and matched flowed. It will be the best $140.00 you spent and also you can send ECU for testing($50). You can run all the cleaners you want but once filters and pintles are clogged/dirty I have found nothing that will clean them good. I have tried SeaFoam,Quikleen,Serria combustion cleaner,Carbon guard,Powertune,CRC engine tune with no good sucess. Now when customer comes in with fuel problems, I check it out and if over 5 years old injectors sent for cleaning.
