im looking into purchasing this model boat. it has a brand new 350 in it mated to a bravo 3 less than an hour on the motor. has a 2004 tri axle trailer. everything on the boat is immaculate, looks like it came off the show room floor. it has heating and air (no generator which im thinking of purchasing if i buy), and full cockpit/salon enclosures. asking price is 23,500, what do you guys think of this price/boat? is this a good boat for say 5-6 adults for an overnighter? seems like a 5.7 is not quite enough motor for a boat of this size being that most 2700 scr's around this year that ive looked at have twin 4.3's or a single 454. any help is appreciated.

Re: 1994 maxum 2700 scr

welcome too the zoo...I had the 2700 SCR with the 6.2 ltr b3 drive combo and it worked great...we had it for about 5 yrs and just traded it in for a new Bayliner 340...
mine did have a westerbeke genny and air...all the options....it's a good boat...it will be really really cramped with 5 or 6 adults sleeping everywhere..but it can be done..better be friendly!!...

the b3 drive helps alot..you may have to play around with tabs and getting people to move fwd ..but the engine should be strong enough to get her on plane...

Re: 1994 maxum 2700 scr

hey thanks for the info. i was actually looking at a '99 bayliner 3055 that i was thinking about purchasing over the '94 maxum 2700 now. whats your take on the bayliners? i think they are beautiful boats and have a well thought out floor plan. alot of people i talk to say stay away from them they are built cheap but i dont know why, they all use mercruiser. is it the hull they get cheap on?
