I've noticed that a new exhaust valve from Mercruiser is approximately $65-$90 depending on where you buy them. Are these stock exhaust valves the good Inconel ones or are they just plain Jane high mark-up stainless steel. If they're just stainless steel, will there be any problem just replacing with a quality brand stainless steel automotive racing valve like Manley or Ferrea?

They are factory stock GM valves. Getting the ones you mentioned will not be an issue. I used Inconel on my rebuild
