So if I use the tilt button on the side of the motor, on the throttle control or at the bow controls they all have the same result...Just a click at the solenoids (one for each direction). Full battery.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Sounds to me that you have worn or dirty armature...things you can try is to remove the top plate on the tilt motor and clean up the armature where it contacts the brushes .light grade emory cloth and spray the inside out using brake cleaner and let it dry and reinstall it..it should work....

Like any electric motor armature and brushes they get worn tarnnished and do not make good contact...

This should work for awhile at some point in the future you will have to replace you brushes

Might as well do it right the first time. I'll pull her off and rebuild if necessary.

Thanks, Mike.

Definitely sounds internal of the motor...and yes, when you disassemble the motor you might as well go all the way...what you will probably find is that the upper armature shaft and the armature shaft bushing in the commutator head (end plate) have frozen together, this can be caused by a defective armature going bad and it will get very hot and freeze the armature shaft to the brass bushing in the commutator head locking up the armature. also if the pump has not been run in a long time and there is corrosion it can simply hang up from drying out...there is no way to lube the upper bushings in these motors so they are very prone to problems in that area.

You might check to see that power reaches the PTT motor, when the solenoids are energized. If you have a three wire motor (Blue, green, black), the black is always grounded and power is applied to the blue to tilt up, green to tilt down.

Pulled motor. Cleaned all contacts, armature, etc. Ohmed out, all good. Put the motor back on. Sounds like it's running fine. Even checked out the motor before mounting and spins great. Refilled reservoir (didn't take very much, couple of ounces). Runs great when switching up and down but does not push or pull the piston.

Thanks for any help.

Did you have the motor tilted all the way up when you filled the reservoir?
