I've got a 1994 Merc 200 HP. Today I went to the Marina to install new voltage regulators, which were both burned out. Also checked all readings for the stator, which were all good. I turned my key to the on position after connecting batteries and the warning horn sounded a steady beep as if in overtemp even though I didn't even run the engine. I disconnected the lead coming from my temp sender and the beeping continued. So it seems like I've got a bad warning module, does this sound correct? Any help is appreciated.
