I have a 94 V8 5.7L VP engine available to me and was wondering if the accessory parts (water pump, power steering pump, power steering cooler, alternator, engine wiring harness) can be used on a 94 4.3L VP block? Are the bolt patterns the same for say the alternator, power steering pump, water pump, etc...?

Best to get the full engine numbers from both units, then you can trawl the parts diagrams and check to see if the part numbers of the bits you are interested in correspond with each other. Only real way to know.

Basicly, the 4.3L engine is simply a 350 cutted down to 6 cylinder. So, every accessory parts should fit the same way on both engine.

So the theory goes... However, Water pump might be of different capacity. As for the the other accessories, maybe, maybe not

Thanks for the replies, I ended up buying a complete 4.3GI. Didn't want the headache of ordering parts for a FrankenVolvo.
