My 1995 200HP Evinrude EXP200TXEO ran fine when I winterized it last fall. Since I brought it out of hibernation, it runs very rough and stalls often at anything less than around 1,200 rpm. I ran it from a seperate fuel tank with fresh gas, replaced the in-line fuel filter, and replaced the complete VRO fuel pump(ouch!). No real improvement seen. The troubleshooting manual I have suggests a problem with the recirculating system. What, exactly does this do? Can it cause the symptoms I have now? The manual says to remove and clean two check valves in the recirculating system. I have already done one, which was easy to get to. The other requires removing the complete intake maniflod to get to it. I'd rather not get that deep unless I was really convinced that that really is my problem. I'm afraid of making it worse in my attemp to improve. Anyone have experience with the recirculating system ?
