I recently purchased this 1995 225 merc "off shore" model. it is a 3.0L carborated gs hog.............But I absolutly love it.Just some minor problems so far.

1- has a very noticable hessitation when getting a hole shot start. It tries to jump up an o, but it loosses power and boggs down for a moment until everything catches up and off she goes like a champ. any ideas why?

2- when I tilt the motor up for a while, i notice that clean unmixed oil drips out of the carbs and down the control cable and on to the deck. Is it normal for a large carborated motor to have some type of oil blow back to lube carbs and cylinders after you shut donw the power?

3- there is a brown and whit lead that runs in the harness with all the guage senders. I have located and installed all my guages. Just one problem. There is a left over brown and white wire doing nothing.the manual says it is for a "visual" something warning guage. I have no clue what it means, but am dying to find out what it is and what id does. Anybody have a clue what I'm getting at here?
