I am looking to purchase this boat - comes with a 200 Johnson Ocean Runner Outboard.
In checking the Wellcraft site - I do not find any 1995 Excels listed - Appears that the 238 Coastal boat is very close in a match.
Did Wellcraft have any issues with this model? Appears only made for a short time? I was told that it is an upgrade from the Coastal , as the Excel comes with pump out head - 2 live wells - built in tackle boxes & 2 batteries with switch.
Does anyone know if this is a great boat - good boat - crappy boat etc
I have yet to see the boat as it is jammed up inside a large boat storage

I bought a 1995 Excell about 3years ago and have had to to do a few things to it, as far as getting to any thing under the deck to repair or replace you have your work cut out for ya. the hose that drains the bait well had a leak and it drained in to the cabin floor. not a good day.now at the fuel tank i had to replace the sending unit and couldn't get to the unit with the access hole there, had to cut in a larger pull out hatch.as far as the bait well hose another pull out hatch,seems they didn't think of us do it yourself'ers when they built this one.the fish box pump was a chore to replace not much area to work in. but thats boating your gonna work on a boat regardless of what it is.
