1995 48spl evinrude-how to undo linkage to change water pump

i can not find were i need to unhook the shifter linkage...any help..thanks

Behind the carb's and underneath as far as I know. Various different securing methods though. Here is mine on a 1985 140hp looper

everthing is fixed and went out on it yesterday. thanks for the help
