Hi All,

I have posted several times over the last week, so far, none of the boats I have posted about worked out....one issue or another...some mechanical, some contractual. One guy wanted me to pay his boat off first, then trust he would send the title to me from the bank. There must be a way to do it right, however the seller didn't want to bother.

Anyway, I am now asking what the thoughts are on this boat. Its a Caravelle Bowrider with the 5.0/Merc outdrive, original owner, readys 68 hrs and owned by a Mercruiser mechanic.

I have to assume all is right on the hours, however I guess they are easy to disconect. If looking at the boat however, it sure looks right as far as hours.

I asked the seller about the bellows/water pump, he said he changed out the shift bellows and the shift cable while doing it. He estimated they were going from age. He said he would check out the drive bellow and water pump. He would change the pump while checking it.

I have heard good things about this setup, the motor is a 4bl, so I guess this is about 220hp, Can the Alpha one drive handle this? What would you look at?

Thanks

Mike
