My 95 70hp is just through breakin hours, and suddenly has decided that after idling for a couple minutes with no throttle use it should cut off restarts immediately, carbs were cleaned when the powerhead went on last september. At the same time it has developed a stumble on initial acceleration, once you get into midrange or better it just runs and doesnt skip a beat.

Pushing key in to choke, makes it worse or kills it at idle.

Perhaps there is crud broken loose and in a needle and seat?

found that the bottom carb was pouring fuel out the throat while priming the fuel bulb, took apart cleaned out. found nothing that i could actually see, reassembled and now bulb goes fully hard while pumping with no apparent bleed off and no fuel pouring out.

hopefully that takes care of it, gonna be a couple days before i can get it in the water.

this seems to fit the symptoms, it just couldnt cope with the extra fuel untill there was some rpm to help consume it.

You may have had a small piece of junk underneath the needle and seat that you missed.
