I was driving at full throttle and then all of a sudden it seemed like I lost all RPMs. Then I slowed down and then tried full throttle, but nothing I mean I had the controls all the way down and I was going like 5mph. When I got to the dock, the motor did not want to idol, it kept shutting off, Is it a carburetor problem or something more serious?

Re: 1995 90hp Force, HELP ME!!!!

Welcome to iboats again ;)

Sounds like a problem that is going to require some diagnosis. If an electrical circuit died it is normally an instant stop. Did you check to see if it was a fuel problem? Did you try to pump the primer bulb as you were going? If the fuel pump failed then it may not be pumping adequate fuel. Could you have picked up some debris in your tank? Do you have a fuel filter or water separator? Could they be clogged? Did the motor get hot? There are really hundreds of questions.

Here is a very important question....... Got a manual for the motor? Have you followed the diagnosis procedure in the manual? iboats sells manuals ;)

A fuel pump could cause that, fuel blockage or a shorting electrical.

Sorry for not lending a solid answer however even the experts use the manual.

Start with the basics.Compression/spark and then fuel.
Do a motor check. All the linkage hooked up?
Do the compression/spark test.Post your results.
Then start at the fuel tank and work your way to the carbs.
Rebuild the fuel pump.
Ethanol is messing with with a lot of things on these motors.
Like I say doi the tests, post your results.J
