Hello everyone! I'm having a hard time locating a Bimini Top that fits my original equipment. I see many different styles that can be retro-fit to this boat but I'd much rather prefer the OEM style and fit.

Anyone know where I might source one?

Thank you so much!

I believe that would normally be referred to as a convertible top, as opposed to a Bimini. A Bimini generally does not snap to the windshield. Not a huge difference, but the proper name might help your search go a little better. It is very easy to find aftermarket Bimini Tops that will fit your boat. I am not sure, however, how easy it would be to find a convertible top.

Given the age of your boat, that may be something you will have to visit a custom canvas shop to get.

Thank you for that clarification, that very likely didn't help my search! I'll give 'er another shot.

Do you have the frame and just need new canvas? If so, any good canvas or upholstery shop should be able to make one.

you wont find a convertible top that works, and bayliner wont have anything available that old, your best bet is a local upholstery shop like JAS pointed out.

The absence of replacement convertible tops always amazes me. They have been standard or optional on new boats for years, score and decades even. You can buy biminis with all hardware for installation, but a convertible top with an additional bag of female snap grommets for installation with the existing male snaps doesn't exist.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, I have the frame, just need new canvas. I'll look into a local upholstery shop. I appreciate the advice. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Just be sure they use a quality canvas, like Sunbrella, a UV-resistant thread. They might install the snaps for you, or you might choose to do it when the canvas top is sewn. The snaps are in different places on every boat, so you have to place them in the convertible top so they correspond to where the snaps are on the boat. It's not difficult if you decide to do it yourself.
