So, I'm tracking down a water leak (fairly small), recently replaced the shift cable bellows, as I found many cracks in it. While I had the stern drive off, I noticed a weird weep hole slightly above and starboard of the drive shaft bellows. What's odd is there isn't anything attached to it. I can't figure out what that thing is for, and before I plug it up with some marine silicone, I figured I'd post and ask if it was important. -- or if anyone knew what it was??
