Hi All,

So recently upgrade from my Johnson 25 HP motor to a Evinrude 40hp motor.
Having trouble with tilting the motor. I looked up the parts list for the motor and notice the trim assist motor looks different than what I have. As you can see the motor is alot longer than my boat but skeg and bottom of boat lines up perfect. So I think im ok there. I think the tilt assist is broken and not sure how to manually raise it up.

No Title

The only picture I was able to find that looks like my motor is from a youtube video labeled
"Evinrude Johnson OMC manual tilt assist "
I have that same cable he has. Looks broken. But what I dont have is the level. I have these two levers on both side of the motor. I pointed them out with a red arrow.

Sorry, Just read my post over and kinda was all over the place was late last night. My Question is. For the Tilt assist is there a reason why parts diagram would show a different part that what is on the motor itself?

Have you read a manual on the trim assist unit ?----Is there an actual motor in this system?---Have you found a set of relays for a trim motor ?

So after a lot more reading about my motors. Looks like there were two options. One with Power Tilt and one with Tilt Assist. I think I answered my questions.
