Engine model is E175EXEOM. Don't have access to my manual this weekend, so looking for an assist.

Idles OK, will come up to planing speed briefly, then dies. Plugs are fouling, gas comes out the carb throats. Starts back up once the plugs are dried. Will idle all day OK.

Had been chasing a fuel leak problem for some time now. Just replaced the top gasket on the fuel evap chamber, rebuilt all six carbs - floats are set parallel to the bowl flange. New filter. Looks like the leak issue has been resolved.

I'm pretty sure the needle valve setting on the carbs are off (approx 5 1/2 turns out). Idles rough if less. Can someone tell me what the field setting is ?

Also, noticed a float when replacing the fuel evap chamber gasket - could this be an area to be concerned with - I just replaced the gasket, didn't muck around with anything inside.

Appreciate any feedback -

Thank you

Tezz
The adjustment is for idle/slow speed only, so if there are no issues there, I wouldn't mess with the setting. I would run on a remote tank with a new hose and bulb first to see if the issue goes away. Are you sure it's a fuel issue? Your symptoms could also be loss of spark when it gets warm. Start with fresh fuel and oil mixed at 50:1 and QL78YC Champions gapped at 0.040 (less likely to foul). If it dies while cruisin', check for spark at all cyls. Gotta find the source before we can fix it!!
Good luck
