1995 force 50hp

my budy has a 50hp force and the thing won't start it don't seem to be getting enuf spark to fire.we first thought it was the carb every time you tip the motor up fuel would come flowing out. got a new carb and set it and the thing ran for a day and now wont start. anyone got any thoughts.

carbs tend to leak when trimmed up do to gravity. Are you choking the motor before you start it? Sounds like a stupid question but most people dont know that pushing the key in will engage the choke.

no stuped questions only stuped answers. we did choke it. how do we no if its gettig the spark required to fire it up ,could it be a CDI problem?

Autozone sells a spark tester or you can do it by taking the plugs out of th ecylinders and grounding the tips and crank. You should get a healthy snap and the spark should be blue. Best to test in a garage or dark area. A spark tester would be better for you can set how far you wan the spark to jump which is a good indicator of how strong the spark is
