I bought a replacement pump for my outboard today and I am having some problems with the install. The pump I got is part number 18-3389. The parts in the kit are a bit different than the factory and I am not sure about the o-ring placement. In the picture I marked the two o-rings.

Neither of the o-rings match what I took off of the old pump. Here is a picture of the factory pump that I have on the motor

O-ring number 83 is bigger than both the replacement o-rings and o-ring number 67 is different as well. Has anyone installed the pump kit and can help me?

#2 Goes inside impeller housing under impeller plate #1 goes under impeller when installed.

I tried installing the #2 o-ring in the housing under the round impeller plate but it wasnt large enough to fit in the groove without trying to stretch it so I went to ace hardware and found one like the OEM one I took off ... The #2 o-ring that comes in the kit is much thinner than the OEM one as well .. I installed the #1 o-ring under the impeller like in the OEM location #67 .. is this correct? the o-ring seems to keep the impeller from contacting the impeller plate #80 .. without contact would it still create pressure?
