1995 Johnson 9.9 slow speed idle fix? Need help!

Can't get the handle off to fix the problem. There are 2 bottoms to push on the handle but there must be something more that I am missing .Thanks

have read up on leroys articles... solution is probably in there somewhere .

Push both buttons in and pull. Be careful though there are 2 pucks inside the tiller and they like to go flying.

I have pushed the buttons in and the the handle will not come off.

try some spay lubricant around joints some silicone or wd40 may loosen things up if... it is just stuck with time & grime
