I have a 1995 Larson 173 sei with a V6 180 hp Mercrusier motor. I have never experimented with different props since I'm not looking any special performance. Currently I have two aluminum props, not sure of the pitch but one is a power prop and one other is a speed prop. What are your suggestions to a fairly dumb boat mechanic to try new props? Am I opening a large can of worms? Should I switch to SS? Currently my boat goes about 45 mph but it's always fun to make it go faster. Thanks for your comments.
