I had gas leaking out of the small side hole in the primer cover of my 1995 Mariner 2-stroke 9.9hp outboard; so I removed the diaphram to find it torn. I went to an authorized Quicksilver dealer in town and bought the primer/injector service kit 9844A1. The plastic shaft of the new diaphram is black instead of blue in color which I see online in all references and kit pictures throughout the Internet. Any ideas of the difference? Was I sold an old part? It was packaged in the original quicksilver plastic pkg and is the same size as the blue diaphram that is torn. Thank you very much for any details!
